BURCHA TOPPED  SMOOTHIES


I’ve been having Burcha topped smoothies every day lately! LOVING THEM It makes the smoothie just that little extra filling so I don’t have to think about eating again for at least another 4-6 hours. It’s taken the smoothie game to a whole new level! although I have slightly altered my Superfood Burcha mix for the ‘smoothie toppers’ to be without sunflower and flax seeds for better digestion and to be easier on the teeth. For me, Flax and sunflower seeds can be very hard on my teeth and belly when not soaked overnight (activated). I’m also having a break from cacao nibs atm because I tend to get a bit overstimulated by them if I eat too many and also Polly spits them out so I’m over having slobby cacao nibs all over the place haha. One thing I seriously love about the Burcha is the little ‘flakes of tropical gold’  aka dried mango!

I’m a sucker for juicy mangoes and it feels like a lifetime between summers when they are in season so while i wait for them to come back into my Ife I still get to indulge in the tropical flavours. A HOT TIP with the dried mango is to put it in the fridge overnight then pop it into your blender the next day and blitz it for a minute or so in the blender until you have a pile of ‘flakes of tropical gold’ then add it to your dry Burcha batch (see some pictures and recipe below) x

 

 


FLAT TUMMY SUPERFOOD BURCHA ”SMOOTHIE TOPPER’ *all ingredients are organic (DRY BULK MIX)

1/2 cup of sesame seeds

1/2 cup of activated buckwheat

1/2 cup chia seeds

1/2 cup of shredded coconut

1/2 cup of activated pumpkin seeds

1/2 cup of hemp seeds

1/2 cup of sultanas

1/2 cup of ‘blitzed’ dried mango

 

*feel free to double or triple the recipe if you plan on eating this stuff daily and want to make a bigger batch 🙂

  • Refrigerate the dried mango cheeks overnight so they get nice and cold, the next day put the mango into a blender or food processor and pulse until they are in small pieces aka ‘flakes of tropical gold’.
  • Add all measured ingredients into a large mixing bowl or layer a jar, mix well then funnel into a glass jar and store in the fridge for long-term freshness (it will last months in a glass jar with a tight lid) but I bet you will finish it in less than a couple of weeks :).

Scoop on top of smoothies and eat with a spoon straw/ spoon and enjoy the high vibes and long satiation

CHOCOLATE THICK SHAKE SMOOTHIE  *all ingredients are organic

3-4 medium frozen bananas

400 ml of hydrogen water (I have an under sink water filter system see it here )

1 Tbs cocoa powder

2 Medjool dates

1 tsp masons mushrooms

1 tbs vegan protein (I used the Garden of life raw vanilla protein)

1 probiotic capsule

3 heaping scoops of Burcha topper mix

 

Add all ingredients except for the Burcha mix into a high-speed blender, blend until creamy and smooth. Pour the blended contents into a jar and top with a few scoops of Burcha topper mix (recipe above). Feel free to add some extras life fresh or frozen berries or other fruit! Sometimes I add 1/2 tsp of local honey (find a friendly passionate beekeeper in your area that loves and respect the bees and their nectar) The local honey helps boost the immune system and alleviate seasonal allergies. * remember that honey is a potent medicine so only very small amounts are needed x
